Despite the controversy surrounding the 88th Academy Awards Ceremony, the show must go on. So rather than watching it alone, why not invite a few friends over and play some Oscar Games.
Download this 2016 Academy Awards Ballot from Movie|Fone. When your guests arrive, have them fill out the ballot. At the end of the night, add up all the points and the winner gets a prize. If you and your guests like a little bet, you could have people put money in a pool and the winner take all. (Download Here)
Purchase some inexpensive self-adhesive badges (or use post its). Before your guests arrive, put the names of nominees from the last few years on the badges/post its. When your guests arrive, place them on their backs and explain that they need to ask questions of other guests to try to figure out what nominee’s name they have on their back. The answers can only be yes or no and you cannot use the actual movie or nomination as part of your clue.
Remember that the main reason for the celebration is to watch the Oscars and enjoy time with friends, so plan enough time before the event to play the game or play it during the commercials.
