Nothing says summer like a visit to the beach.  Fill a hurricane glass with some sand, a candle and some shells.   Add a bow and put it on your dining table, a shelf or end table.

If you are crafty why not add some shells to a Styrofoam or grape vine wreath and add it to your apartment door or wall to bring the beach in to your apartment

Add a colorful slip cover or pillows.  Slip covers and pillows are an easy and affordable way to update your apartment, select tropical or floral patterns.

Bring the Tropics Inside.  Purchase a tropical plant for inside; bamboo is a great option.  If you have enough room for an additional chair, add a beach or adirondack chair and enjoy summer in your own living room.

Go Floral.  Stop by the Main Street Flower’s Market each Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to pick up some flowers.  A great choice for summer is sunflowers.

Make a Splash in the Bathroom.  If you have glass shower enclosures add a floral removable decal or change your shower curtain to be something a bit more summerish and consider changing your towels too.  These options are quick, easy and won’t break the bank.
