Halloween, the time when ghosts and goblins reign supreme and mere mortals get to participate in the spectacle.

Get a group together and participate in one of LA’s best tours.  The Battle for LA is a chauffeured tour which mixes a scavenger hunt, pub crawl and mystery.  Battle to reign supreme over LA with actors, suspense, complimentary drinks and more.  Their Halloween tour is even more spectacular with scary surprise lurking around the next corner.    http://www.battleforla.com/

Fornier’s Place is a great place to bring the family this Halloween.  Located in Mission Hills.  From October 3rd through November 1st the farm is transformed into a Harvest Festival with a gigantic pumpkin patch, a 4 acre corn maze called the “Farm Tastic Jurassic Maze”, a tractor pulled train ride where you and your family can learn more about farming and a Farm Frolic Area with a giant pumpkin jumper, yah pyramid, mini maze and produce and treats. Check them out at

In nearby Calabassas where each Friday and Saturday in October you can wander through the In-Between Dark Maze with new twists and turns this year.  Enter if you dare the House of Shadows or Purgatory.  If that isn’t enough to scare you then how about Death Row, Jack’s Carving Shack … ahhh, go if you dare.  It is located King Gillette Ranch 26800 West Mulholland Hwy Calabasas, CA 91302 and is open Sunday and Thursday from 7pm to 10:30pm and Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 12am.

If you aren’t too tired or frightened from trick or treating the night before then head down to Main Street to participate in the 15th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival (Day of the Dead) on November 1st from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  With a car show, arts and craft exhibits, live music, children’s activities and a beer tent this annual tradition is one not to miss.
