Southern California is home to a number of theme parks, Disney Land in Anaheim, Universal Studios in Universal City, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park and Six Flags in Valencia. You live in Canoga Park, you know this, but did you know that each year these parks transform into spooky, scary Halloween themed parks.
While Disney Land’s Mickey’s Halloween Party is sold out you still have time to buy tickets to other Halloween events at Disney or dare to visit some of Southern California’s other theme parks.
Universal Studio is not for the faint at heart during Halloween. Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights is one of the most intense and scariest events in Southern California. Check out their site to booook your tickets, but don’t wait they often sell out.
Knott’s Berry Farms turns in to Knott’s Scary Farm as the rides become more frightening and zombies and other supernatural spirits walk the park. Fear the avenge of the Snow Queen, explore a haunted hospital to learn first hand from those patients who haunt the halls of the hospital and who were tortured by deranged doctors and nurses. Take a grim ride to learn about the murder of sweet Clementine in the Calicon Mine and more bewitching rides. Knott’s Scary Farm is open through the 31st.
If roller coasters weren’t scary enough, Six Flags steps the fright up a notch with Fright Fest through October 31st. Make your way through a haunted maze, be careful of roaming zombies and scary clowns. The park is kid friendly for the little ones during the day where there is Trick or Treat and Halloween crafts, but be ware, ghosts and ghouls come out to haunt the park after 7:00 pm.
