Staying Home this New Year’s Eve

  |     |   Apartment Living Canoga Park

New Year’s Eve is almost here and you are trying to decide what to do.  Should you go out with the other revelers, don a party hat, sip champagne and ring in the New Year like a rock star OR should you put on PJs, drink wine, play board games and watch the rest of the world celebrate in front of the TV?

Here are some good reasons to skip going out and for celebrating in your Canoga Park apartment

1. No matter where you go, it will be crowded.

Whether it is a First Night Celebration, a NYE party or a restaurant, you and well about 1/2 of the U.S. adult               population will be out celebrating.

Your couch or apartment only has you, your pet, your friends, family or loved one.  Not crowded at all

2. Ringing in the New Year is expensive.

Most bars and restaurants add a cover charge or a menu mark-up on New Year’s Eve.

Don’t give in to the commercialism of this holiday.  Pick up take out, make pizza and enjoy dinner in your own           home.

3.  You have to dress up.

If you go out you will have to try to fit in to that LBD or go purchase a new one.  Put on a tie and suit coat and              sparkle with the rest of the population.

But if you stay home, you can wear PJs, sweat pants or jeans on New Year’s Eve.

4. So many revelers and resolutions.

Watch other get a bit tipsy or kiss a stranger at midnight.  Bump in to others get a drink spilled on you.

Or, watch others celebrate from your own living room:

Watch Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.  This year includes One Direction, Carrie Underwood, Walk        the Moon, 5 Seconds of Summer, Fall Out Boy, Demi Lovato, Tove Lo, Luke Bryan and others.

New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly will have guests Chrissy Teigen, Tony Bennet, Lady Gaga, Seth MacFarlane,             Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and what a coincidence, Gwen Stefani.

Instead of going out this New Year’s – enjoy it at home!  Happy New Year’s.
