Presidents Day Events – Canoga Park CA

  |     |   Apartment Living Canoga Park

February 15, 2016 is Presidents Day and you are lucky enough that your Canoga Park apartment is less than an hour and a half away from two of California’s Presidential Libraries.  So, why not visit one or both of these museums this Presidents Day weekend.

The Ronald Reagan Library and Presidential Museum is celebrating Presidents Day with free admission from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Celebrate with the founding fathers and live musical performances.  Share in stories with Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt and Abigail Adams.  Not the real ones of course.

Great fun for the whole family (or adults); arts and crafts and more.  Visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum and visit the Ferdinand Magellan Train, regular admission rates apply for these.

An hour and a half away from your apartment in Canoga Park, you will find the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace.  Explore a Lego replica of Washington DC, visit Richard Nixon’s birthplace, and admire Nancy Regan’s dresses. On Presidents Day Democratic campaign consultant and Fox News contributor Douglas Schoen will be giving a lecture on the Nixon presidency and signing his book, The Nixon Effect.

Don’t feel like venturing that far, but still have the day off.  Why not run in John Quimby Park or take your dog for a walk at Shadow Ranch Park, both located in Canoga Park.
